In & Out Products is owned by industry-seasoned professionals with decades of experience in door manufacturing, building supplies and millwork.

Guard Dog Pet Door was the brainchild of door industry veterans Jesse Godwin – known throughout Florida where the winds are almost as strong as the hurricane building codes, Brad Caulder – owner and craftsman in a North Carolina door manufacturing and millwork facility, and Don Bame – expert salesman and product developer at the same facility. They saw existing pet doors for what they were – the weak link in maintaining a secure home…against wind, water, and criminal incursions. Together, they founded In & Out Products LLC.

To help make the Guard Dog Pet Door a reality, Pro-Kay Building Products in Orrum, NC, was commissioned to develop, test prototypes, and worked to refine the pet door to:

According to the International Residential Code (IRC), all windows and doors are required to meet the ASTM E330 test for minimum design pressures. All models of the GDPD pass the ASTM E330 and E331.

GDPD First Edition Impact meets the Wind Zone D for Wind-Borne Debris requirements under ASTM E1886 and E1996.
